Home2014 Concert ScheduleContact & Directions

Welcome

We’re glad that you stopped by to visit “Singing in the Barn with dinner on the grounds.”  It is a concept inspired by God to make available an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in an informal atmosphere  through music, drama, giving and the Word of God.  Everyone is welcome... friends, neighbors, family, people of all faiths.

Our goal is to bring in top professional musicians and actors to encourage us in our walk with God. We believe that Singing in the Barn is about bringing our friends, neighbors and loved ones to hear about the Love, Mercy, and Grace of our Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.

This project is not about the barn, the board of directors, or me, or any of the people who come in to minister.  It is about spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to our world!  Glory to God!

Blessings, Harold Wildeson

When you arrive

When you arrive, you will see a table and a blue print of the seats in the barn.   You will choose your seat from those that are available on the blue print.  We will issue you a ticket and that will be your seat for the evening. There is no charge for the ticket or the meals, but we do depend on offerings to cover the costs of artists, food and operational expenses.

We start serving dinner at 4:30 p.m. and are committed to closing down at 6 p.m. so that volunteers can clean up and be able to be a part of the concerts.   The meal consists of your choice of a sandwich, usually hotdog or BBQ, fruit, chips and a cookie.  It isn't an "all you can eat" dinner buffet, but our goal is to serve each person a meal.  As you can imagine, it is difficult to know how much food to purchase.   Therefore, we welcome dessert donations, something easy to serve, like cookies, brownies, etc.  If you have a favorite that you would like to contribute, please bring it by 4 p.m.

Where do the Funds come from?

The funds come from your donations.  We receive donations at the food line.   During the concert a love offering is received to cover all other expenses.  If you make your donation by check, make it payable to "Singing in the Barn, Inc.  Many people give much more than expected, simply to cover those who cannot give and to help with capital expenses.  There are plans for in-door bathroom facilities, including more septic tanks.  Also needed is a sprinkler system  to come into compliance with our PA Commonwealth Code.

When do the concerts start?

The concerts start at 6:30 p.m.

What kind of seating does the barn have?

The barn seats approximately 1000 people. You may want to bring along lawn chairs just in case the seats are full.  If you don't need them you can always leave them in your car.  As word of Singing in the Barn has reached out to more and more people, the attendance has increased. The Barn is not heated or air conditioned.   Please dress appropriately for the weather!

Can I bring my pet?

For the safety of your pet and comfort of others, we ask that pets are not brought to concerts.

What about solicitation?

Please no solicitation of handouts, posters, brochures, tracts, etc. from other organizations.

Where do I park?

Plenty of parking for everyone in our front yard!
